Other Ways To Give

Give as You Earn (Payroll Giving)

PayrollGiving is a tax-efficient way to make regular donations to St Mark's through your company's payroll. Donations are deducted from your pay before tax is applied, which means the money goes further and it costs you less to give. To start, ask your employer or pension provider if they offer a Payroll Giving scheme; if they do, you can choose St Mark's Church as your chosen charity.

Higher or Additional Rate Taxpayer

If you earn £50,271 or more you can personally reclaim a further 25p/31.25p tax back per £1 donated. You can do so by including your donations in the 'Gift Aid payments' box on your tax return or contacting HMRC directly.

Cash

Cash can be given to St Mark’s in the offering box which is kept near the entry doors of the main church. Gift Aid can only be claimed on gifts which are in completed Gift Aid Envelopes (found in the leaflet stand in the hall, or at Reception).

Cheque

You can give via cheque on a one off or regular basis by making it payable to ‘St Mark’s Church’ and either placing it in the offering box or sending it to the church, marked for the attention of the Finance Department. If you are a tax payer, please make sure you have completed a Gift Aid Declaration so that we can reclaim the tax.

Matched Funding

If your employer runs a Matched Funding scheme, your donation to St Mark’s could be as much as doubled, at no extra cost to you. Contact your HR Team for details.
